Hays Portugal launches digital salary comparison tool

Hays Portugal has launched the ‘Hays Salary Comparator’, a digital tool designed to help professionals evaluate their compensation against market benchmarks. The tool utilizes data from the Hays Salary Guide and the expertise of specialized consultants to provide comparative references.

To use the tool, individuals input details regarding their area of specialization, job function, type of organization, professional experience, region, and annual gross salary. This allows users to determine if their pay is above or below the market average for their specific profile.

The launch comes at a time of significant career movement in the Portuguese labor market. According to Hays, 44% of qualified professionals changed jobs or made significant career shifts in the last year, driven primarily by desires for career progression (36%) and better salary conditions (29%). Paula Baptista, Managing Director of Hays Portugal, stated that the tool aims to democratize access to credible market data, enabling professionals to make more informed decisions and negotiate their futures with greater confidence.
