Haze pollution prompts mask and vitamin distribution in Indonesia

Various organizations in Indonesia are distributing masks and vitamins to mitigate the health impacts of worsening air quality caused by haze from forest and land fires.

In Dharmasraya, the BRI Branch Office distributed hundreds of free masks to people working outdoors to reduce the risk of Acute Respiratory Infection (ISPA). BRI Branch Leader Amet Candra Dinata stated the initiative aims to help citizens maintain health amidst the haze.

In Kayuagung, members of the Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate (PSHT) Ranting Kayuagung, in collaboration with the local Health Office and the Red Cross, distributed 3,000 masks and 1,000 vitamins to motorists and the public. The effort, led by OKI Branch PSHT Chairman Supriyanto, seeks to protect the community from the effects of forest and land fires.
