HBAR Nears Breakout as Hedera Plans Major Token Release

Hedera Hashgraph’s native token HBAR is trading at about $0.0698, up 3.8% in the last 24 hours, with a market capitalization of $3.05 billion and a daily volume of $68.6 million. Analysts note that the price is testing a key resistance trendline; a decisive move above it could trigger a bullish breakout toward $0.84, representing a potential 20‑30% upside, provided buying pressure and volume stay strong.

The Hedera network has recently added full compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, enabling developers to port existing Ethereum smart contracts with familiar tools and benefiting from Hedera’s fast finality, low fees and high throughput.

According to Hedera’s Treasury Management Report, up to 4.07 billion HBAR are slated for release in Q3 2026, adding to the 3.88 billion tied to ecosystem development. When fully distributed, about 47.5 billion of the 50 billion pre‑mined tokens will have moved, leaving less than 5% undistributed, with the schedule extending to 2033. Network fees generate roughly $1,354 per day (about $1.5 million annually), which are allocated to staking and node rewards rather than burned.
