HBCU culture expands with HBCU House launch and homecoming season
HBCU Buzz has launched HBCU House, a culture-forward events platform designed to serve as a rotating headquarters for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) alumni, executives, and creators. Founded by CEO Luke Lawal Jr., the platform aims to host curated gatherings at major cultural, political, and entertainment events. The inaugural event is scheduled to take place during Congressional Black Caucus Week in Washington, D.C.
Simultaneously, the 2026 HBCU homecoming season is approaching, with celebrations scheduled from September through late November. The season includes various traditions such as football games, concerts, and reunions across numerous institutions, beginning with Bethune-Cookman University on September 19 and Lincoln University of Missouri on September 26.
