HBCUs and Angolan institutions sign 44 academic agreements

A new academic initiative is strengthening ties between Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the United States and educational institutions in Angola. The program reached a significant milestone with the signing of 44 Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) aimed at fostering collaborative research, faculty and student exchanges, workforce development, and technology transfer.

Dr. Sam Williams, a scholar and entrepreneurship leader at Lincoln University, views these agreements as a means to move beyond ceremonial cooperation toward a model of reciprocity. He emphasizes that the partnership should serve as an engine for innovation, enterprise, and economic development, ultimately aiming to produce measurable improvements in lives through new businesses and jobs.
