HBO announces premiere of legal drama series “War”

HBO has announced the world premiere of “War”, a new legal drama anthology series set in the high-stakes legal world of London. The first season consists of eight episodes and is scheduled to debut on the streaming platform on October 1, with new episodes released weekly.

The season follows the intense rivalry between two prestigious law firms, Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne. The conflict is ignited when both firms take on a high-profile divorce case involving tech tycoon Morgan Henderson, played by Dominic West, and international film star Carla Duval, played by Sienna Miller.

Created, written, and executive produced by George Kay, the series is a co-production between New Pictures (a Banijay company) and Observatory Pictures, in association with Sky and HBO. The cast also includes Archie Renaux, Phoebe Fox, James McArdle, Nina Sosanya, and Pip Torrens. Due to the project's initial commitment, the anthology is expected to continue with new legal confrontations in future seasons.
