HBO develops live-action Poison Ivy series

HBO is developing a live-action series centered on the DC Comics character Poison Ivy. Lauren LeFranc, the creator and executive producer of ‘The Penguin’, is attached to the project as a producer.

The series is expected to be part of the DC Universe (DCU) rather than the ‘Elseworlds’ imprint used by Matt Reeves. This distinction suggests the character may eventually appear in other DC films, such as future Batman projects.

Specific details regarding the plot, the number of episodes, the casting of the lead role, or a release date have not yet been announced. The project is currently in the development stage.
