Emma Fogarty and Colin Farrell star in new HBO documentary

HBO has released the trailer for ‘The Slightest Touch’, a documentary directed by Rachel Fleit that follows the lives of Emma Fogarty and actor Colin Farrell. The film centers on Fogarty, who lives with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a rare genetic condition that causes her skin to blister and tear at the slightest touch.

The documentary highlights Fogarty’s resilience as she approaches her 40th birthday, a milestone doctors previously believed she might not reach. A central event in the film is the 2024 Dublin Marathon, where Farrell and Fogarty completed the race together. After running the marathon himself, Farrell pushed Fogarty’s wheelchair for the final four kilometers, with each kilometer representing a decade of her life.

Beyond the physical challenge, the film explores the 16-year friendship between Fogarty and Farrell, examining how their connection has provided mutual support through personal struggles. ‘The Slightest Touch’ is scheduled to debut on HBO and stream on HBO Max on November 25, 2026.
