HBO Max announces new releases for the week of August 14

HBO Max is adding several new titles to its streaming library for the week of August 14, 2026. Notable upcoming releases include the action film ‘Normal’ starring Bob Odenkirk, which follows an interim sheriff in Minnesota who becomes involved with a Yakuza crime syndicate.

In the superhero genre, the DC Universe series ‘Lanterns’ is scheduled for release on August 16. The show features Hal Jordan and John Stewart investigating a murder in Nebraska. Additionally, the documentary series ‘ER: Caught on Camera’ is set to debut on August 20.

Regarding existing superhero content, the ‘Peacemaker’ series, starring John Cena, continues to be highlighted for its character development and ensemble cast under the direction of James Gunn.
