HBO Max unveils trailer for Big Bang Theory spin‑off “Stuart Fails to Save the Universe”
HBO Max has released the official trailer for “Stuart Fails to Save the Universe,” a new Max Original comedy that expands the world of The Big Bang Theory. The ten‑episode spin‑off follows comic‑book store owner Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman) who accidentally breaks a device built by Sheldon Cooper and Leonard Hofstadter, triggering a multiverse Armageddon. He must restore reality with the help of his girlfriend Denise (Lauren Lapkus), geologist Bert Kibbler (Brian Posehn) and irascible quantum physicist Barry Kripke (John Ross Bowie). The trailer highlights chaotic alternate‑universe versions of familiar characters and cameo appearances by Christine Baranski, Riki Lindhome, Teller and Jon Cryer. The series is created, written and executive‑produced by Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn and Bill Prady, with Kyle Newacheck also serving as executive producer and director. The first episode premieres on HBO Max on July 23 (with new episodes released weekly thereafter).
