HBO Max launches 'Stuart Fails to Save the Universe' Big Bang Theory spin‑off

HBO Max added a slate of new titles for the week of July 20‑26 2026, headlined by the sitcom spin‑off series **Stuart Fails to Save the Universe**. The show is the second direct spin‑off of *The Big Bang Theory* and follows comic‑book shop owner Stuart Bloom as he attempts to repair reality after a device created by Sheldon and Leonard malfunctions. He is aided by his girlfriend Denise, quantum physicist Barry Kripke and geologist Bert. Executive producers include Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn and Bill Prady, and the cast features Kevin Sussman, Brian Posehn, Lauren Lapkus and John Ross Bowie, who hinted at numerous Easter eggs and cameo appearances.
