HBO Max premieres ‘4 Blocks Zero’ prequel series

The HBO Max original series ‘4 Blocks Zero’, a prequel to the cult series ‘4 Blocks’, premieres on September 25, 2026. The eight-part production is set in 1990s Berlin and follows the rise of the Hamady family.

The narrative traces the family's journey from living in refugee accommodations to becoming one of the capital's most influential clans. The story focuses on Malik Hamady and his four children—Ali, Abbas, Marwan, and Amara—as they navigate life without secure residency permits and face the challenges of a changing Berlin.

The plot intensifies with the return of Ibrahim, Malik's brother-in-law, after eight years in prison, which triggers a chain of events drawing the family into the Berlin criminal underworld. Episodes will be released weekly on Fridays, with the season concluding on November 13, 2026.
