HBO Max to develop documentary series on PC Siqueira

HBO Max has announced the development of a documentary series centered on the life and death of Paulo Cezar Goulart Siqueira, known as PC Siqueira. A prominent figure in Brazil’s first generation of content creators, Siqueira helped popularize YouTube in the country and transitioned into television roles on networks like MTV and PlayTV.

The production, led by Farra and Moonheist, aims to reconstruct Siqueira’s rise to internet fame and examine the circumstances surrounding his death in December 2023. The series will feature exclusive interviews and new information regarding the ongoing investigations into his passing.

Beyond the biographical elements, the documentary intends to explore themes of fame, mental health, and the impact of “internet tribunals.” The investigation into Siqueira's death was reactivated following questions raised by associates regarding the events leading up to his passing in São Paulo.
