HBO Max announces ‘Band of Brothers: Legacy’ documentary for 25th anniversary

HBO Max has announced the release of ‘Band of Brothers: Legacy’, a new documentary film commemorating the 25th anniversary of the acclaimed World War II miniseries. The documentary is scheduled to premiere on September 9, marking a quarter-century since the original series debuted in 2001.

Directed by former Green Beret Chase Millsap and executive produced by Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, the film provides an intimate look at the production of the series and its enduring cultural impact. It will feature new interviews with cast members, including Damian Lewis, Ron Livingston, Michael Cudlitz, David Schwimmer, and Capt. Dale Dye.

In addition to personal reflections from the actors, the documentary will showcase never-before-seen archival footage and original photographs of Easy Company from World War II. To further celebrate the milestone, HBO Max will also offer exclusive in-app extra content and a themed curation titled ‘In the Company of Heroes’.
