Jan Holoubek crime series ‘Wśród nocnej ciszy’ to premiere on HBO Max

The crime series ‘Wśród nocnej ciszy’ (Among the Night Silence), directed by Jan Holoubek, is scheduled to premiere on HBO Max in November 2026. The six-episode production is based on the reportage ‘Nie oświadczam się’ by Wiesław Łuka.

The story is set during the communist era in Poland, specifically focusing on the night of December 24–25, 1976, in Połaniec. The plot centers on a crime involving the death of three young people from Zrębina, an event driven by revenge that occurred under the cover of darkness.

This release is part of HBO Max’s expanding local production slate in Poland. Other upcoming or recent local titles include ‘Zmora’, ‘Przesmyk’, and ‘Schedy’.
