Apple TV renews thriller ‘Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed’ for season two

Apple TV has renewed the dark comedy thriller ‘Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed’ for a second season. The series, which stars Tatiana Maslany and Jake Johnson, follows a newly divorced mother who becomes embroiled in a conspiracy involving blackmail and murder after witnessing a crime. A writers room is currently underway, with production expected to begin in the first half of 2027.

Separately, HBO has placed a two-season order for ‘Merrick & Treves’, a new half-hour animated comedy from the creative team behind ‘Archer’. Created by Adam Reed, Casey Willis, and Lucky Yates, the series is set in Victorian-era London and follows a team within the Royal Temporal Constabulary hunting Jack the Ripper using time-travel mechanics.
