HBO releases new teaser for Harry Potter television series

HBO has released a second teaser for its upcoming eight-episode television adaptation of ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone’. The series, based on the books by J. K. Rowling, is scheduled to debut in Christmas 2026 on HBO and will be available for streaming on HBO Max.

The production features a cast including Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. Supporting roles include John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, and Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid.

While the first season focuses on the initial adventure at Hogwarts, work is already underway for the second season, which will adapt ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets’. The production plan aims to release new seasons, each adapting a different book, approximately every 18 months. A promotional poster for the second season was recently revealed during a Warner Bros. event in Brazil.
