HBO renews It: Welcome to Derry for second season

HBO has officially renewed the series ‘It: Welcome to Derry’ for a second season. Showrunner Brad Caleb Kane indicated that the upcoming installment will feature a different approach than the first, described as a “very, very bloody” season.

The new season will be set in 1935 and focus on the Bradley Gang, a group of criminals led by brothers George and Al Bradley who committed robberies in the fictional town of Derry. The plot is expected to cover the gang's massacre by town residents and include the presence of Pennywise the clown.

Production is moving toward the pre-production phase, with more than half of the story already defined and several scripts written. While the cast has not been officially announced, there is speculation regarding the return of Bill Skarsgård.
