HBO legal drama ‘War’ stars Dominic West and Sienna Miller

HBO’s new eight-part legal drama, ‘War’, follows the high-stakes divorce between tech billionaire Morgan Henderson (Dominic West) and international film star Carla Duval (Sienna Miller). Created and written by George Kay, the series focuses on the aggressive tactics used by two rival legal firms: the upstart Taylor & Byrne, led by Nicholas Taylor and Serena Byrne, and the established Cathcart & Sons, led by Beatrice Ubosi and St. John Smallwood.

The plot is set in motion when Carla uses a honeytrap to catch Morgan in an act of infidelity, leading to a public and messy legal battle. The series includes dramatic moments such as the serving of divorce papers on a red carpet, a scene creator George Kay noted was inspired by real-world celebrity legal disputes. The show explores the lengths legal teams will go to secure victory in career-defining cases.
