HBO starts casting for second season of Harry Potter series

HBO has officially ordered a second season of its Harry Potter series before the first season premieres at Christmas, confirming a long‑term plan to adapt all seven books. Casting for the new season is already under way. The producers are seeking a young actor to play Kasper Krauwel (the book’s Colin Creevey), a devoted Gryffindor fan who follows Harry with a camera, and have begun follow‑up auditions. Additional roles being filled include Ginny Weasley, Arthur Weasley and the villain Tom Riddle; speculation links actor Owen Cooper to the latter. Casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann are leading the process, with callbacks already reported.
