HBO to release 'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' season two in early 2027

HBO executive Casey Bloys has confirmed that the second season of the 'Game of Thrones' spin-off, 'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms', is scheduled to premiere in the first half of 2027.

Despite demanding filming conditions, the network aims to release the new episodes relatively quickly following the successful launch of the first season in early 2026. The series is described as a more grounded exploration of the Westeros universe, focusing on smaller adventures rather than large-scale battles.

Bloys noted that the release is timed to coincide with the upcoming Emmy Awards season. Other HBO productions slated for similar release windows include new seasons of 'The White Lotus', 'The Gilded Age', 'The Pitt', 'I Love L.A.', and 'Rooster'. Currently, no other series within the 'Game of Thrones' universe are in active planning beyond 'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' and 'House of the Dragon'.
