HC Eivissa defeats San Pablo Burgos in handball victory

HC Eivissa secured a significant 25-23 victory against San Pablo Burgos in the fifth round of Spain's second-tier handball competition. Playing at the Poliesportiu de sa Blancadona, the home team overcame a difficult history against Burgos, having lost seven of their last ten encounters.

The match was characterized by a strong performance from goalkeeper Nacho Pérez, whose saves proved crucial in maintaining leads. Despite facing challenges, including three exclusions for defensive player Iván Calvo which forced the team to play shorthanded during critical stretches, HC Eivissa managed to maintain control.

After a competitive first half, the team built a lead that allowed them to navigate the final minutes with composure. This win marks a turning point for the squad coached by Eugenio Tilves, moving them toward the upper ranks of the standings following a period of adjustment at the start of the season.
