HC Kladno strengthens squad with Nicolas Hlava’s return and Dominik Pavlát’s optimism for a tougher Extraliga
Forward Nicolas Hlava, 31, has re‑joined HC Kladno after four seasons with Litvínov. He said the club’s renewed ambition, new coaching staff and the chance to live closer to his family convinced him to return. Hlava, who scored 22 goals in his best season and helped Litvínov avoid relegation, noted the team’s extensive changes and higher expectations.
Newly signed goaltender Dominik Pavlát, 25, arrived from Finland’s Ilves Tampere and recent national‑team duties. He praised the upgraded training environment, the partnership with fellow keeper Adam Bríza and the overall quality of the Czech Extraliga, which he believes has risen thanks to the return of several Czech players from abroad. Both players expressed confidence that the strengthened roster will boost Kladno’s performance and attract more fans.
The club’s management, led by head coach Radim Rulík, is aiming for a higher league standing this season.
