HC Kometa Brno defeats HC Slovan Bratislava in preseason overtime match

HC Kometa Brno defeated HC Slovan Bratislava 3-2 in an overtime preseason hockey match held at the TIPOS Aréna on September 1, 2026.

After a scoreless first period, Jakub Brabenec opened the scoring for Brno in the second period. Slovan Bratislava responded in the third with a goal from Ryder Korczak in the 44th minute. Lukáš Cingeľ then regained the lead for the visitors in the 56th minute, but Oliver Turan equalized for Bratislava just a minute later to force overtime.

Kristián Pospíšil secured the victory for Kometa Brno by scoring into an empty net during the overtime period. This marked Pospíšil's fifth goal and fourth game-winning goal of the preseason.
