HC Spartak Uherský Brod signs goalkeeper Štipčák amid preseason loss

HC Spartak Uherský Brod is strengthening its roster ahead of the upcoming second-league hockey season. The club has signed experienced goalkeeper Marek Štipčák from Znojmo to fill the vacancy left by Michal Šurý, who has retired for family reasons. Štipčák, who has played 70 games in the Maxa league, joins a goaltending group that includes Konečný and Uherek.

In their first preseason friendly match, Spartak Uherský Brod lost 1:5 at home to Technika Brno. Milan Tadeáš Jobek scored the lone goal for Uherský Brod. The match also featured Slovak talents Milan Tadeáš Jobek and Jakub Bobík, who are currently on trial with the team. Coach Robert Svoboda noted that the team was still finding its rhythm after only four days of training, whereas Technika Brno had been preparing for two weeks.
