Robert Reichel appointed head coach of HC Verva Litvínov

Former Czech national team star and Olympic champion Robert Reichel has been named head coach of HC Verva Litvínov for the 2026/27 season. He will be supported by assistants Jakub Petružálek and former Slovak defender Ivan Švarný. Club director Jiří Šlégr called Reichel a "club legend" who knows Litvínov well and aims to avoid a repeat of last season’s relegation battle. The announcement also highlighted IIHF Hall of Fame inductee Roberts Reihels, a former Litvínov player who helped the team stay in the Extraliga as an assistant coach in recent seasons. Reichel stressed the need to improve the club’s results and build on the experience from the previous baráž (play‑off) series.
