HCM-SME targets 10,000 members by 2030 amid rapid growth
The Ho Chi Minh City Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (HCM-SME) is expanding its network by establishing grassroots business associations at the ward and commune levels. This initiative aims to bring support and connectivity closer to local businesses, helping them integrate more deeply into the city's broader economic community.
During a recent announcement of the 2026 community activities, HCM-SME leadership revealed that membership growth has significantly exceeded expectations. After starting with approximately 300 members following its first congress in 2025, the association has grown to nearly 1,000 members.
Chairman Pham Van Triem stated that this growth reflects the increasing demand for an organization capable of connecting resources and expanding cooperation opportunities. Looking forward, the association has set an ambitious target to reach 10,000 members by 2030, aiming to create a robust ecosystem that connects knowledge, markets, and technology for the city's entrepreneurs.
