Héctor Alterio's ashes interred in Buenos Aires

The ashes of renowned Argentine actor Héctor Alterio were deposited in the Panteón de Actores at the Chacarita Cemetery in Buenos Aires. The ceremony, held ten months after his death in Madrid, was organized by his children, Malena and Ernesto Alterio, in conjunction with the Asociación Argentina de Actores y Actrices.

Family members and colleagues, including actors Eduardo Blanco, Víctor Laplace, and Ana María Picchio, attended the service. The decision to transfer his remains from Spain to Argentina was made to fulfill the actor's wish to return to his birthplace. His ashes now rest alongside other prominent figures of Argentine culture.

During the tribute, officials from the Actors' Association expressed respect for Alterio's ability to maintain his national identity despite his exile in 1975. The ceremony included musical tributes and reflections on his profound impact on the nation's artistic history.
