Héctor Fort nears transfer from Barcelona to Borussia Dortmund

Héctor Fort, the 20-year-old defender from FC Barcelona, is reportedly nearing a transfer to Borussia Dortmund. The player has expressed a preference for the German club after being deemed surplus to requirements by head coach Hansi Flick.

Barcelona is looking to generate funds through the sale and is reportedly seeking a fee in the region of €15 million to €20 million. Negotiations are ongoing between the two clubs, with Dortmund representatives having visited Barcelona to finalize the deal. Other potential structures for the transfer include a lower initial fee combined with a significant percentage of a future sale and a buy-back option for Barcelona.

Fort, whose contract runs until 2029, has made approximately 30 appearances for Barcelona's first team and spent the previous season on loan at Elche. While clubs such as Roma and Real Sociedad have shown interest, Fort has prioritized a move to the Bundesliga.
