Héctor Santana affirms political commitment in Nayarit

Héctor Santana García, the acting mayor of Bahía de Banderas, issued a “Letter to the People of Nayarit” following recent political developments in the state. Santana stated that his commitment to the region is not contingent upon holding a public office and that he will continue his work within the territory.

The message follows the selection of Jasmine Bugarín Rodríguez of the Green Ecological Party of Mexico (PVEM) for the state coordination of Defense of the Transformation and National Sovereignty in Nayarit. Although internal polling had placed Santana in first place, the final decision was determined by gender parity criteria. Santana emphasized that he remains ready to continue his activities “on the street” and within the political movement.
