Héctor Sánchez to represent Spain at WorldSkills in Shanghai

Héctor Sánchez Bellón, a 19-year-old automotive technician from Santiago, Spain, will represent his country at the 48th edition of WorldSkills in Shanghai. The competition, scheduled from September 22 to 27, will bring together 1,400 young professionals from 70 countries and regions.

Sánchez Bellón, a student at the Politécnico de Santiago, advanced to the international stage after winning regional and national competitions in Galicia. His interest in mechanics is a family legacy, stemming from his great-grandfather's truck workshop in Santiago. He noted the increasing complexity of the field, highlighting the shift toward advanced electronic systems and automotive assistance technologies.
