HD Hyundai showcases gas carrier technologies at Gastech 2026

HD Hyundai is participating in Gastech 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, to showcase its next-generation gas carrier technologies. Five affiliates—HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, HD Hyundai Samho, HD Hyundai Marine Solution, and HD Hyundai Electric—are operating a joint exhibition booth.

The showcase includes models of liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, floating storage and regasification units (FSRU), and liquefied carbon dioxide carriers. The company plans to conduct approximately 30 official events during the exhibition, including obtaining technology certifications and signing memorandums of understanding (MOUs).

Key initiatives include a partnership with ABS and Siemens to develop digital twin technology for safety assessments of ammonia-fueled vessels. Additionally, HD Hyundai will present its three-tank LNG containment system at a seminar hosted by the French company GTT, highlighting the system's efficiency and strategic value in the eco-friendly maritime market.
