HÜDA PAR leader calls for resolution to Kurdish issue

Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, Chairman of HÜDA PAR, addressed the party's 5th Ordinary Provincial Congress in Diyarbakır, where Zeynul Abidin Gülsever was re-elected as provincial chairman. During his speech, Yapıcıoğlu emphasized that the Kurdish issue must be resolved through the establishment of justice and the strengthening of brotherhood.

He characterized the current political climate as a historic opportunity to end violence and support a resolution process. Yapıcıoğlu advocated for disarmament and the recognition of the right to education in mother tongues. He also referenced a 12-item framework law recently accepted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly, noting it strengthens the will for a solution.

Beyond regional issues, Yapıcıoğlu criticized current economic policies, stating that high interest rates contribute to both inflation and social decay. He also touched upon topics including the need for a civil constitution, the protection of family structures, and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
