HDFC Mutual Fund updates index fund offerings and disclosures

HDFC Mutual Fund has released updated information regarding its Nifty 100 Equal Weight Index Fund. As of August 2026, the fund manages ₹534.40 crore in assets. The fund utilizes a passive replication strategy to track the Nifty 100 Equal Weight Total Returns Index, which periodically resets constituent weights to maintain equality. Notably, a discrepancy was identified between two AMC publications regarding expense ratios for the August reporting period, with the Fund Facts reporting 0.88%/0.42% (Regular/Direct) and the Index Insider reporting 1.00%/0.55%.

Additionally, HDFC Mutual Fund has introduced the Nifty LargeMidcap250 Plus 8-13 yr G-Sec 70:30 Index Fund. This hybrid index fund allocates 70% to the Nifty LargeMidcap 250 Index and 30% to the Nifty 8-13 yr G-Sec Index, which consists of liquid Government of India bonds with residual maturities of eight to 13 years. The New Fund Offer (NFO) for this hybrid scheme is scheduled to open on October 5, 2026, and close on October 19, 2026.
