HDI Deutschland merges Neue Hildener Versicherung with Lifestyle Protection
HDI Deutschland is merging its subsidiary, Neue Hildener Versicherung AG, into another subsidiary, Lifestyle Protection. The move is intended to consolidate corporate structures and simplify operational processes.
The merger affects approximately 1.25 million existing insurance policies, which primarily consist of accident and residual debt insurance. These policies were formerly associated with the Targo Versicherung brand, which served customers of Targobank.
The German financial supervisory authority, Bafin, has already approved the merger. While no new contracts have been issued through Neue Hildener Versicherung AG since the beginning of the year, company spokespeople have stated that existing service levels and contract terms for current customers will remain unchanged.
