Hădărăuți hosts fourth regional gastronomic festival

The fourth edition of the regional gastronomic festival, ‘Viață cu dulceață la Hădărăuți’ (Life with Sweetness in Hădărăuți), took place in the Hădărăuți commune of the Ocnița district. The event drew participants from various regions of Moldova and guests from across the Prut river.

The festival focused on traditional and creative preserves. While many participants showcased ancestral recipes using fruits like cherries, plums, and pears, others presented unconventional combinations. Notable entries included jams made from tomatoes, zucchini, mandarins, lemons, and even cherry with carrots.

In addition to the culinary displays, the event featured music and dance. A highlight included a cake inspired by the character Guguță, presented in the form of ‘Cușmea lui Guguță’. Local Mayor Iurie Lupu emphasized the festival's role in promoting community values and local traditions.
