HDT to announce future plans at Bathurst

HDT has announced it will reveal a significant update regarding its future at Mount Panorama on Monday, October 12. The announcement will take place following the 2026 Bathurst 1000 endurance classic.

While the specific nature of the news remains unconfirmed, it is expected to detail the brand’s ambitious new direction, which may involve either a new motorsport entry or a range of limited-edition production vehicles. The event will coincide with celebrations honoring the 20th anniversary of the passing of legendary racer Peter Brock.

The announcement will include a display of rare HDT Special Vehicles road cars, such as the historically significant HDT VL SL Commodore used as a prototype for the VL Director and Aero. HDT representatives will be joined by members of the Bathurst Regional Council and various Australian motorsport figures.
