HDTV Vietnam launches “Journey to the Roots” reality program

HDTV Vietnam Reality Television Joint Stock Company has officially launched a new reality television program titled “Hanh trinh ve nguon - Tro ve de biet minh tu dau” (Journey to the Roots - Returning to Know Where One Comes From). The launch ceremony took place on September 20 in Hanoi.

With a 10-year vision, the program aims to create a television archive documenting people, lands, and Vietnamese values. Rather than focusing solely on professional achievements, the series follows individuals—including leaders, military officers, scientists, entrepreneurs, and artists—as they return to significant locations from their pasts. These journeys include revisiting hometowns, schools, or meeting influential figures to rediscover the cultural, historical, and personal memories that shaped them.

Nguyen Manh Ha, Chairman of HDTV Vietnam, stated that the project is designed for long-term development across various media platforms. Each episode is structured around specific themes: the character, the journey, memories, discovery, experience, giving back, and the lasting impact.
