Headless YouTuber announces permanent departure from music

Ghanaian content creator Headless YouTuber, formerly known as the musician Kula, has announced he will not return to the music industry. Speaking on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, he explained that the music business proved too stressful, citing the logistical demands of studio sessions, hiring dancers, conducting interviews, and filming music videos.

He noted that his introverted nature makes the lifestyle of performing and waiting backstage late at night unappealing. He expressed a preference for creating content during the day to allow for more family time. Headless YouTuber has spent the last five years building a social media presence, having originally started content creation to fund his musical career.

Previously, he was the winner of the 2019 Ghana Music Awards ‘Unsung’ project and released tracks such as ‘Amen’, ‘Interview’, ‘One’, and ‘Meye Yie’.
