Health advice focuses on cold recovery and student nutrition

Health experts and nutritionists are highlighting the importance of lifestyle adjustments to manage common ailments and maintain energy levels in students.

Regarding common colds, it is advised that individuals avoid pushing through symptoms with excessive activity. Instead, prioritizing rest, adequate sleep, and hydration with warm liquids can assist the body in recovering from infections. Reducing physical and mental strain during the initial stages of illness is recommended to prevent further complications.

In the context of student nutrition, dietitian Ugnė Radzevičienė warns against the habit of students skipping meals throughout the school day. Because intensive mental activity requires consistent energy, she suggests that students who spend long hours at school should include a planned snack, such as seasonal fruits or nuts, between breakfast and lunch to avoid energy depletion.
