Health advice for morning hydration and caffeine consumption

Morning hydration and beverage choices play a significant role in maintaining energy levels and alertness. Options such as water infused with lemon, diluted apple cider vinegar, coconut water, and green tea can help rehydrate the body and provide essential nutrients or electrolytes. However, caution is advised with acidic drinks like lemon water or vinegar to protect tooth enamel and stomach sensitivity, and those with kidney issues should monitor potassium intake from coconut water.

Regarding afternoon caffeine consumption, timing is critical for maintaining sleep quality. Because caffeine has a half-life of approximately 4 to 6 hours, individuals planning to sleep by 10:00 PM or 11:00 PM should consider consuming their last cup of coffee in the early afternoon. While 400 mg of caffeine per day is generally considered safe for most healthy adults, individuals sensitive to stimulants should monitor their total intake from coffee, tea, energy drinks, and chocolate to avoid anxiety or insomnia.
