Health and awareness programs launched for primary school students in Turkey

Educational initiatives aimed at improving the physical, mental, and social development of primary school students are being conducted in various regions of Turkey.

In Yerköy, students at Şehit Kamil Çelikkaya Primary School received training on three key areas: oral and dental health, combating peer bullying, and the conscious use of technology. The program emphasized proper brushing techniques, the importance of empathy and respect to prevent bullying, and the need for balanced screen time to avoid technology addiction.

In Elazığ, the Elazığ Municipality, in collaboration with provincial directorates of national education and health, has launched a program targeting first-grade students across four primary schools: Kıbrıs Şehitleri, Şahinkaya, Elazığ, and Şehit Fethi Murat. The sessions focus on oral hygiene, overcoming fear of dentists, and water conservation. As part of the initiative, students were provided with toothbrushes to encourage healthy daily habits.
