Health and wellness forums address medical innovation and tuberculosis challenges in Spain

In Burgos, the II National Health and Wellbeing Forum brought together approximately 200 professionals, including researchers, technology companies, and healthcare providers. Organized by the ITCL and CARTIF technological centers under the Centr@Tec 4 program, the event focused on accelerating innovation by connecting data, research, and business capabilities to improve patient care.

A key theme was the potential of health data, specifically regarding interoperability, information governance, and digital infrastructures. Experts from organizations such as Evidenze Data Space, Carelife Solutions, and Recoletas Salud discussed the challenges of sharing information securely to advance coordinated medical attention.

Separately, at the 71st Congress of the Spanish Society of Hospital Pharmacy (SEFH) in Gran Canaria, medical experts addressed the ongoing global public health challenge of tuberculosis. Dr. José Antonio Caminero Luna highlighted the disease's biological ability to survive and adapt within the human body, noting that new vaccines and shorter treatment regimens are critical priorities for controlling the infection.
