Health authorities in Colombia and Chile coordinate system improvements

In Colombia, the National Superintendency of Health, led by María Andrea Godoy Casadiego, held a dialogue with over 80 health monitors and patient associations. The meeting aimed to gather proposals to strengthen user rights and rebuild the health system. Discussions focused on improving the use of official service channels to better organize claims and prevent duplication. Godoy emphasized the role of citizen monitors as essential allies in social control and health service education.

In Chile, the Valparaíso–San Antonio Health Service (SSVSA) and FONASA have strengthened their collaboration to improve healthcare efficiency. Directors Alis Catalán Araya and Daniela Ampuero met to coordinate efforts regarding the healthcare network and service delivery. A priority of the meeting was the monitoring of Explicit Health Guarantees (GES), specifically focusing on preventive work to ensure timely responses for communities in the Valparaíso and San Antonio provinces.
