Health authorities launch dental hygiene programs in schools

Health authorities in Argentina and Panama have conducted educational campaigns to promote oral hygiene among school-aged children.

In Riacho He Hé, Argentina, the Ministry of Human Development and the local hospital organized a dental awareness day at the EJI 12 Nidito de Amor kindergarten. A total of 56 students participated in educational games and activities designed to teach the importance of daily brushing, balanced nutrition, and regular dental visits to prevent cavities.

In Panama, the Ministry of Health held a similar initiative at the Kuna Nega Bilingual School. The program included lessons on oral hygiene and practical brushing workshops. Students received dental kits containing toothbrushes and toothpaste to encourage the implementation of these healthy habits at home. The initiative also extended to children visiting the Kuna Nega Health Center to reach the broader community.
