Health authorities launch vaccination campaigns in Toca and San Miguel de Tucumán
Public health initiatives are underway in South America to increase vaccination coverage. In Toca, Colombia, the municipal administration and the Boyacá Health Secretariat are conducting free vaccination sessions. These efforts focus on providing vaccines against yellow fever, human papillomavirus (HPV) for children and adolescents aged 9 to 17, and pertussis for pregnant women.
In San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina, the Ministry of Public Health organized a vaccination drive at the Muñecas pedestrian zone. The initiative aims to bring sanitary services directly to the community to facilitate access to the National Vaccination Calendar. Available immunizations include those for school entry, hepatitis B, triple bacterial, triple viral, influenza, pneumococcus, and COVID-19, targeting both children and older adults.
