Health awareness and fundraising initiatives launched in Catalonia

In Catalonia, various health awareness and fundraising initiatives are being organized. ASEM Catalunya, the Catalan Association of People with Neuromuscular Diseases, has scheduled a solidarity event for October 24 in Barcelona. Held at the Recinte Fabra i Coats in the Sant Andreu district, the event aims to raise funds for La Marató de TV3 2026, which focuses on neurodegenerative and neuromuscular diseases.

In Tarragona, the Public Health Department is commemorating World Cardiac Arrest Awareness Day. The initiative includes practical training sessions on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of automated external defibrillators (AED). Organized in collaboration with the Medical Emergency Service (SEM), the activities aim to provide citizens with the skills and confidence to intervene during cardiac emergencies while waiting for professional medical assistance.
