Health awareness initiatives held in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca
In Romania, various health awareness initiatives have taken place to promote life-saving skills and cancer prevention. In Bucharest, the Romanian Red Cross organized its fourth annual flashmob near the Arcul de Triumf to mark World Resuscitation Day. Over 70 volunteers participated in demonstrations and a choreographed event to emphasize the importance of rapid emergency recognition and the initiation of CPR by trained bystanders to increase survival rates.
In Cluj-Napoca, approximately 300 people gathered in Unirii Square for the launch of the ‘One Ribbon, Many Stories’ initiative. Organized by the Prof. Dr. Ion Chiricuță Oncology Institute (IOCN) as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the event featured a human ribbon symbol to promote solidarity. Speakers addressed the importance of collective action, early diagnosis, and healthy lifestyles in the fight against cancer.
