Health campaigns launch in Coahuila schools and universities
Educational and vaccination initiatives are underway in the state of Coahuila, Mexico, to promote public health and disease prevention.
In Ramos Arizpe, students at the Instituto Capellanía participated in a polio awareness day organized in coordination with the Club Rotario Saltillo Empresarial. To commemorate World Polio Day, students presented research on the causes, symptoms, and prevention of poliomyelitis, emphasizing the importance of maintaining complete childhood vaccination schedules.
In Torreón, the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila (UAdeC) has partnered with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) to implement a vaccination campaign at its Laguna Unit. The program, which runs through November 10, provides doses against influenza, COVID-19, hepatitis B, measles, and pneumococcus. The campaign targets students, faculty, and administrative staff across various faculties to prepare for the upcoming winter season.
