Health Center Upgrades Launched in Spain, Argentina and Chile

In Badajoz, Spain, the Los Pinos primary health centre is being temporarily relocated to the Palacio de Congresos while extensive adaptation works are carried out. The 1,500‑square‑metre facility will serve about 20,000 residents and is expected to remain there until a permanent location within the provincial hospital is ready, projected for the late 2020s.

In Neuquén, Argentina, construction of a new Day Center for drug‑addiction treatment and suicide‑prevention is 26 % complete. The 501‑square‑metre building, financed with more than 1.324 billion pesos, will be attached to Hospital Adolfo del Valle and include classrooms, therapy rooms, a kitchen and a garden, aiming to expand mental‑health services across the province.

In Valparaíso, Chile, the Cesfam Esperanza primary‑care centre has received a high‑friction road seal on its access street to reduce braking distances and improve safety for the largely elderly local population. The project, long‑awaited for 18 years, also involved repairs to the centre’s facilities and was inaugurated by local officials.
